Fun exercises or tips to help lose weight?

Well I’m 12 and I’m not in very good shape. I weigh about 120 pounds. I’m very upset about my weight and I really want lose some.

At my age appearance is what matters, but that’s not the reason I am doing this. I am doing this because I feel like I need too. I believe that 120 pounds is obese for a 12 year old.

When ever I go to school and we get to dress down, I never do. I never dress down because people may laugh at me because of my body.

Please help me. Any tips or exercises for me?

    Join a martial arts club. Not only is it excellent exercise, but you will learn some useful skills too.

    Just et active, and eat healthily. Do not eat too much bread, cakes, biscuits etc.

    Do Dance Dance Revolution or Wii they are both fun and will help you get in shape. Of course you need to watch calories about 1500 is all you need get a calorie chart so that you know how many calories are in what you eat and drink. Keep track of all you eat and drink. Also do your exercise plan 3-5 days a week the more the better so you lose faster.

    Aerobic dance videos are fun too they have a lot of them on Amazon.

    120 is not a lot. i weight 103 and i’m 5′7 thats pure bone i cant wear shortts without comments you are lucky
    but you can try
    try joining a sport at school
    or join an after school class like dance or gymnastics or swim theyll make you fit i think yoga helps too
    get together with friends to go jogging saturday mornings
    or u guys could go bike riding
    eat healthy for a while thats whats going to make the most difference
    watch tv while doing crunches or umping jacks etc

    Breakfast:
    An egg with whole grain bread or your half cup of oatmeal, millet is also great.
    Lunch–whole grain bread with almond or cashew butter and a piece of fruit.. or can of sardines in water or tomato sauce–no peanuts as they have mold and a lot of people are really allergic and don’t know it.
    Dinner–salad without dressing–flavor with oregano, cracked pepper, salt (Morton lite salt), crushed red pepper, small amount of nuts…
    one serving of chicken, fish, turkey, or pork–stay away from deli meats–they’re high in salt. Do not drink diet drinks–they actually make you gain weight. No carbonated drinks either because they mess up your calcium balance. Use stevia as a sweetener. Back to dinner–definitely a vegetable like broccoli, green beans, collard greens, carrots, and small serving of potatoes, sweet potatoes or rice.

    Additionally because appearance matters to you, I’d recommend reading a book to overcome self consciousness as most teenagers are self conscious. The best book is Psycho Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz–hopefully your library has a copy of it. Most people read it at least once in their life time and the sooner the better. If some of it doesn’t apply to you just focus on the parts about self consciousness and being happy.

    I would suggest some excersises, maybe some walks and jogs.
