P90X vs. Insanity Workout? which is better?

I’ve seen all the effects of P90X and they are awesome. But I only have have 2 and half months to lose 20 pounds and no money to buy hand weights.

Basically what I want to know is, is insanity workouts any good (as in good results in 60 days)? I mean I see it on tv but I don’t know if I can trust it.

And if it is good, is it better than P90X

P90X is to get leaner, by gaining muscle and loosing fat.

Insanity(I haven’t tried it), looks like it mostly cardio for weight loss, and they throw in a little abs.

I love P90X. Luckily I have adjustable weight, I can go from 2.5 to 50 pound dumbbells. I you have lower weight just do more reps.

Both look like they work, if weight loss is your primary goal stick to the diet plan they give. P90x gives you one, but I don’t know about Insanity.

Insanity is a 60 day Max Interval Training program.

In comparison to P90x and ChaLean Extreme it focuses more on Cardio rather than muscle. You are working at 80% of your max heart rate.

Insanity was just released this past Wednesday so no one has really turned in any results. But I’m sure you can burn off 20 pounds in 60 days. I lost 20 pounds in 60 days with P90x. Here are my 60 day pictures http://bit.ly/P90x_Progress

Insanity is a about the same price as P90x – so you would really want to weigh your options to pay for a 60 day program vs a 90 day program

    There’s a Deluxe program which includes 3 more DVD’s.

Any questions – please let me know bcui@beachbodycoach.com

As p90x is to resistance insanity is to cardio with insanity you can lose fat and get a little toned but with p90x you lose fat and gain muscle at the same time so your weight wont go down than much since you would have muscle. insanity has only bodyweight exercises so you would gain muscle but not as much and it basically is just lots of cardio with resistance!!

If you want to lose weight and tone a little get insanity
if you want to lose weight but also gain a little muscle get p90x!

I have done 1 round of p90x and am currently mixing p90x and one on one workouts!!

    Hi:

The bottom line is an issue of trust and spending $119.85….I would recommend that you do what I did and purchase it through a reputable website that offers a money back guarantee.

With insanity you will do a lot more cardio and plyometrics, so you wont need all the p90x paraphernalia.

I got mine at Extreme Fitness Results (www.extremefitnessresults.com) I buy from them regularly and never had an issue. I enclose the link to their product and warranty page. Worse case scenario, buy it, use it, and if you don’t like it, send it back…You will be out $10 in shipping but not a and deal if you do not like the program.

  7. About a twelve months ago, I lost all my baby fat. At this point Thirteen pounds lighter, I would certainly like to eliminate another 12 lbs in order to reach my college weight. Regarding the previous 12 months I have already been faithfully jogging not one but two miles a day on the tread mill putting on a weight vest. However , the scale would not move. So after reaching a plateau, I decided it is time for the fresh program. And with all the buzz regarding Nintendo wii Fit, maybe it’s time for the high tech strategy to weight loss. Do you think this would likely be a good method? What do you think I ought to do? What about this guide – easy ways to lose weight?
