Insanity is the P90X of cardio. And only 60 days. I’m currently on day 11 of Insanity. I have done two rounds of P90X and got pretty good results. For something new I started Insanity. It’s awesome, I was afraid that Shaun T may be annoying, but I was completely wrong, He’s great. He’s there motivating you and pushing you the whole way. The workouts are really hard and you are going to sweat like crazy. You do not need any extra equipment at all. Everything is resistance of your own body weight. (push ups). There is also a lot of plyo (jumping). You can see how I’m doing at my site where I am tracking everyday, keeping track of my heart rate and calories burned per workout. I’m burning 700 – 800 calories per workout! And the workouts are only 30-40 minutes long.
P90X is more of a resistance workout to gain a little size, where Insanity will get you that lean muscle. So it will depend on what you want out of the program.
Good Luck.
See how I’m doing here:

If you have any other questions be sure and let me know, I’d be happy to help…
What I like about Insanity vs P90x is that you don’t need to purchase additional equipment. I also feel Insanity challenges me especially in maintaining my heart rate and keeping up with everyone else. I’m also on day 11 and loving the program.
P90x is also a great program – I believe it serves as a good foundation for Insanity.
But it depends on what your goals are. To build muscle and improve over all fitness, go for P90x. For performance, speed, and better endurace, go for Insanity
